A team that grew out of the community it serves

THTA was established in 2022 by a team of committed professionals led by Hamidullah Barak, to help Afghans in need, starting with women’s empowerment and gender mainstreaming.

Years of war and instability have left women and youth with few paths to financial independence or education. We assess needs first, then provide the services each community actually asks for, to fight extreme poverty, illiteracy and unemployment while protecting dignity and self-sufficiency.

Transparency

Accountable governance and financial management in every operation.

Empowerment

Building the skills and confidence of women, youth and marginalized groups.

Inclusivity

No discrimination by race, ethnicity, gender or religion.

Sustainability

Long-term solutions for economic and social development.
